Iconic Palace on Instagram: "Burg Kreuzenstein is a striking medieval-style castle located near Leobendorf in Lower Austria, just north of Vienna. Although it stands on the site of a 12th-century fortress, the present structure was built in the 19th century under the direction of Count Johann Nepomuk Wilczek. After the original medieval castle was destroyed during the Thirty Years’ War, Wilczek undertook its reconstruction, incorporating authentic medieval elements collected from across Europe.
